AT the request of a number of Batepayees, I hereby convene a PUBLIC MEETING, this SATURDAY EVENING, at ANCHER’S HOTEL, Seddon-street, at 8 p.m. To consider the advisabilty or otherwise of requesting the PostmasterGeneral to establish a MORNING and EVENING MAIL SERVICE to KUMARA. Also a LETTER DELIVERY RICHARD JOHN SEDDON, Mayor.
NOTICE. "DULSTRODE’S CLUB SWEEP for <£l,ooo on the MELBOURNE CUP, will positively be drawn on MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, at the PUBLIC HALL, MAIN ROAD. A few Tickets remaining unsold can be obtained at the Club Hotel, Early application ia necessary/ CHURCH OP ENGLAND. . DIVINE SERVICE will be conducted as usual by the Rev. H. J. C. Gilbert, at the Theatre Royal, on Sunday, at 7 PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. QERVICE will be held in Public Hall, To-morrow (Sunday) at 7. p.m.
