An old couple went to a Dublin theatre to have a night’s amusement. The great Mrs Siddons was playing “Mrs fl aller” and the poor bodies were kept crying all the evening. At length, at one of the scenes where the great lady caine in with a handkerchief again to her eyes, the old man conld stand it no longer, and, starting to his feet, cried out, £ * Ye long nosed thaif, ye call this divarshun !’’
