The duties of a wife in Armenia are menial in the extreme. When -a locomotive engineer falls in love, he may be said to be on the “sighed track.” It is said that figures won’t lie ; bat the Detroit News ? thinks the figures of soma women are very deceptive, to say the least. Brigham Young, it is suggested, should write a book on “ How to Pop the •Question.” A saloon-keeper named his resort“ Nowhere,” so that when his married customers went home late and their wives wanted to know where they had beep, they could safely tell the truth. It happened at a New York evening party. Said a high-toned aristocratic young man to a married woman . “ Who is vonr favourite composer? Handel?” “ Yes,” she quietly responded, ‘‘ the broom handle. When the old matt and me have a row it composes things quicker than lightning.” The high-toned young man subsided. \ -\ A man, in New York, named Garter? has obtained the honor of being “Champion waltzer,” by waltzing for five hoars without ceesation. The difficulty he had to contend with was the obtaining partners to dance with him. A dozen he danced down in three hours.
