The grand concert given on Wednesday night at the Public Hall, by the Good Templars, for the benefit of the Kutnara Hospital Ward, was a credit to all concerned. Tne Hall was thronged from stage to door, and the entertainment was thoroughly enjoyed. The programme .was very lengthy, and rendered more so by the frequent encores, As all who performed ware amateurs, and all did their best for a charitable cause, it
would be out of place to criticise their efforts. Suffice it to say, that the following ladies and gentlemen took part in the proceedings, and are entitled to a share in the gratitude of the institute, to benefit which the concert was given. Mrs Boyd, Mrs Nancekivell, Mrs Muir, Miss Ferris, Miss A, B. Ferris, Miss Hardley; and Messrs Baas, Thompson, Spring, Green, Riley, Weiss, Sandle, Tilsby, Mortis, Hawkins, and Cope, In consequence of the illness of the Chief Surveyor, the consideration of applications for a cemetery reserve, and a rifle reserve, was postponed on Wednesday by the Waste Lands Board till their next day of meeting.
