Wellington, May 31. The amount of Customs revenue collected at the port of Wellington for the month ending to-day was £14,622 95.2 d. and for the corresponding month of last year £13,659 14s. Id. Kaipara, May 31. There are no tidings of the Eliza May, which left Waitara on the 17 th, and no signs of the Aspasia. The steamers Hinemoa and Durham, the brigantine Nightingale, and the. schooner Marmion, are wind bound. Auckland, May 31. A portion of wreck has been found near Mahgakararoea—one board had the name " Glimpse" thereon. The Glimpse is expected from Melbourne to load timber at Kaipara. The captain of the Kate M'Gregor,. whose vessel is ashore at Waikato Heads, telegraphs that the cargo is dry, and that there is a chance of floating the vessel off. • The adjourned meeting of Masons ia being held to-night respecting the formation of a Scotch Grand Lodge, with Mr Whitaker as Grand Master. Delegates are here from Wellington, Wanganui, Patea, and Thames. Rinking commenced in the Choral Hall last evening. The ninth annual meeting of the Moanatairi Company, at'which there was a large attendance, was held to-day. The report shewed 10,770 tons crashed during the year, yielding 33,1250z5, realising £85,974. At the end of the previous year the company owed the Bank and other creditors £5588. This indebtedness had been paid off, and the sum of £53,940 distributed in dividends, while a farther sum of £4OOO has been carried to a reserve fund account, leaving a balance in hand of £6BIB. The nett profit for the year's transactions was somewhat over £68,000. The tributes showed for the year a profit of £787. The report was adopted, and £250 voted to the directors. Blenheim, June 1. An important decision, has been given in the Revision Court by District Judge Broad. He ruled that the onus of proving disqu?lification lies with objectors. Ten appeals have been lodged. Christchurch, June 1. The Press this morutng says it is informed that, in consequence of information obtained by Captain M'Clatchie at the Bluff, the s.s. Gazelle is to be sent back, without delay, to the Auckland Islands, and that Captain M'Clatchie intends forming a company on a small scale for the purpose of recovering the gold in the wrecked ship General Grant. Dunedin, June 1. The Customs revenue collected at the port of Dunedin for the past mouth is £28,871, for the corresponding month last year, i* was £30,900. During the month of May there were 58 deaths, 136 births, and 51 marriages, registered in Dunedin.
