Turkish accounts state that the Russians attempted to cross the Danube at Renl near the mouth of the Pruth but were defeated with great loss in killed and wounded and prisoners. The Government decline to take action towards the establishment of a. Colonial Museum this year. The Brindisi portion of the Australian mail was delivered in London on the seventh inst. Money is firm. Consols ninety four. The wheat market is calmer. Melbourne, May 12. The elections have resulted largely in favor of the Stonewallers. The Government resign to-day.
