. (Before W. H. ReVen, Esq, R'M.) DRUNKENNESS. . Thomas Keigliran, by his counsel, Mr Perkins, pleaded guilty' to a charge of having been drunk arid disorderly, and wap fined. £l, with the usual alternative. / . Matthew Brown, for being drunk and incapable, was fined 10s, or in default to he imprisoned for 24 hours.
George Simpson and Richard Hickling Were charged with committing a breach of.the peace on Sunday morning, about one o’clock, in view of a constable. Mr Perkins pleaded, guilty for Simpson. Hickling did not appear. Each was fined 10s, with costs. Hickling’ recognisances - were estreated, but, as he subsequently Appeared, the Order was rescinded i UNLAWFUL HOURS.
S. M‘K. George was charged with keeping the Masonic Hotel open at 3.50 a.m., oh the 4th inst. He pleaded guilty with extenuating circumstances, and was fined £1 with costs, ALLEGED INDECENT ASSAULT. George Hunter was charged, on information, with having on the sixth of April indecently assaulted Annie Emily Clarke. Mr Perkins appeared for the accused. Upon the name of Annie Emily Clarke beipg palled, She did not appear, but Mrs Clarke came forward and said, “ I wish this case to be withdrawn* your Honor, as-it was brought without my sanction. lam the child’s mother, your Honor. She is under age and I know nothing about it.”" Mr Sub-Inspector O’Dpnnell: “ Mrs Clarke cannot withdraw- the case j the police laid the information, Mrs Clarke has purposely kept the girl away.” His Worship: “ Very ' well, let a warrant issue for her arrest."
Mrs Clarke; “ I sent my child away, your Honor, she isnpt.here.” , His Worship, to Mr O’Donnell: “ Will you gb on with the case 1 .Mr O’Dduhell; “I cannot go on Without the witness. I would ask for a summons to issue ’at once, vour Worship.” Mr Perkins i “ I believe I know the reason why the girl is kept away. I shall have to ask her questions in the witness box, which, it will he very unpleasant for her to, answer, ,I*appear for the prisoner, . shall, have tcpdo. sojiu the interest of my client.”. The warrant for the girl’s arrest was then issued. 'CIVIL CASES. ’ . ' . I)ungan and Chßrien .y- Thomas -Stickle. Claim .account . ’ stated £lB 8s 9d. The defendant confessed judgment. .

After several witnesses.had been examined, his Worship gave judgment, for plaintiff for £1 and costs including professional costs, °
Potter v. Clarke. Claim, wages £4. Mr Perkins appeared for plaintiff. The defendant denied the debt. Judgment for plaintiff for £2 15s with professional and Court costs.
