Calls : LlO per share on application; ,L] 0 per share on allotment; future calls not to exceed L 5 per month. Provisional Directors : Mr John Hall, MrJ. P. Harris, Mr J. Holmes, Mr R. J. Seddon, -Mr-F. Dermott, Mr W. D. Kerr, Mr T. Learmont, Mr J. Churches, Mr F. C. Tabart, Mr G. Bath. Bankers : '-The Bank of New Zealand. Solicitors : Messrs (Button and Reid. Brokers: Messrs F. A. Learmonth & Co., Hokitika. It is proposed to form the-above Company for the purpose of purchasing all the promoters rights to the Okuku Water Race and Prospectors’ (Cashman’s) Race, Claim, Tools, etc. It is not intended at present to call up the whole of the Capital, as the coat of the works now decided on will not exceed £7358 including the interest given to the promoters and the purchase of the race, etc. A sufficient margin will thus be left ‘to meet any requirements that may in future arise for the extension of the Company’soperations. The detail survey and estimates of the Okukufßace have been carefully completed by E. J. Lord Esq,, and he reports, that by the construction of two reservoirs, one in Bell’s Creek, and the other in the Okuku Creek, that a constant supply of at least fifteen Government heads of water can be depended on all the year round, which can be broughtinto the prospectors’ race below the upper dam at a cost of L318819s 6d giving with the present supply of the prospectors’ race, a constant supply of twentyfive to thirty Government heads of water, throughout the year. _ The promoters have purchased all the rights held by the prospectors in connection with their Race, Dams, Claim, etc., at Knmara, and thus secured a most valuable property, and one that yields an immediate return to the Company, the present revenue of the race alone being estimated at an average of L 35 per week. The claim itself is of considerable value, and can -either be worked by the Company, •or disposed of, as overtures have already been made to the promoters for the purchase of it at a satisfactory price. The Company will have a great advantage in bringing in this extra supply into the Kumara gold-field, as they are already supplying a large number of claims with the Prospectors’ Race, which only requires the additional water supply that the Okuku Race will give to make it one of the best paying investments on the Coast.

The Kumara gold-field is now so thoroughly and extensively developed, that for years to come the supply of water that will be at the command of the Company must ensure a large revenue. Applications for shares will he received up to SATURDAY, the seventh of April, at 6 p.m. As there are only a limited number of shares to be applied lor, early application is necessary, as priority of application will be considered in allotting the shares.
