*OOUMUNICUTED.} Another brilliant soocase was scored a; our basket social on Friday night last—when I say success I mean both financially and socially. Visitors, including ladies, arrived from Kawhia both by eea and overland, which adds equally to theic and R*wbia’s popularity. The one star that shone everywhere was the energy and peraever ance of Mrs Willison, from whom Sir Joe ought to take a few lessons in fin anoe. The fact thab £24 was taken by the sale of baskets and competitions speaks for itself, and now our hall stands free from debt, together with a sihall surplus. Mrs Chase, who very kindly undertook the journey to play, added greatly to the enjoyment, and her efforts were much appreciated by one aad all. Mr Kinnane, who wae M.C., and the committee, w irked bard in the interests of the visitors and local (' Ik. Mrs Willison and Mrs Carr took care of everyone after the social, and sent them borne very pleased with the whole show.
