(prom our own correspondent). A meeting was held at Marokopa on tbe 23rd inst. for the consideration of erecting a batter factory at the Head*, a nnmher of settlers being present. Provisional guarantees for 300 cows were signed iu the room. Mr P. C. Rose was appointed secretary, and Messrs Haylock, Saunders, and J. Willison a committee to communicate with those interested iu the trade, so as to arrange for the best terms for erecting a factory. There is little donbt that a butter factory would be a in this district.

There is little hope of buah-barning, as the weather is very boisterous.
