Sib, - Potato blight is ramoant among many crops that w» re planted without any caro ns to prevention. the Government, instnic lions were followed in the treatment of potatoes for blight, success has been achieved. Those who are either too lazy, ignorant, or not of sufficient enterprise to make use of the instructions of tbe Department of Agrical tare are a monneo to those whose work this year has helped to eradicate tho blight spores. If all who grow potatoes would use the 4.5.40 Bordeaux mixture as directed, the blight would be eradicated, ns tho potato plant not protected breed? oonntless millions of Opores ; one affected potato will do stray a district’s unprufectel crops. Tho fact that it is poiaible to grow healthy potatoes in a bligbty district baa been successfully proyed here this year.—Youre, etc., SPUDS.
