The death took place in tbe Auckland Hospital on December of John Bonnet, who at one time held a sec tioi at Kiritehere. It will be remembered that Bennet was imprisoned (or assaulting {a girl at Nukubakeri, but he only served a short period of tbe term, as he was released on a petition being presented to tbe Minister for Justice.
