The Kiritehere Road Case.

Friday’s Star says “At the meeting of the Crown Lands Board yester. day afternoon, Messrs Gregg ard Rose, settlers in tbe Kawhia district, appealed to the Board for redress tfgarding what they maintained wb< ths wrongful public use r f track on their Government leasehold sections. They pointed out that the track was not shown in their title deeds as a pub io way, and they bad put up fences to protect tbe cattle on the land from straying. The : e had been repeatedly broken down by people using the track, with the result that a number of sheep bad, time after time, jumped over the precipitous ground close by and been killed.
