A DENIAL.

(to the editor. Sir, —A paragraph appears under the heading “Oparau” in your issue of October 3rd. implying that the rate payers of the Oparau district have expressed a desire for ihe transference of the Waitetuna portion of the Mata kowhai Riding to tbe Raglan County. Kindly allow me space in which to deny this implication as even the tone of the paragraph containing it may not suffice to prevent it from receiving some degree of credence.—Yours etc.

CHAS. BELL. Chairman of Oparau District Ratepayers’ Association.
