Mr and Mrs 0. L. King Ibft Kawhia to take up their n-aidenoe in Raglan OEi Saturday last. The death took ptaca at Hamilton on Wednesday of Mr R. J. Pauli, proprietor of ibe Waikato Times. Keritoki, a candidate for the Weetern Maori oooetitueocy, gave an ad* dreea in Scutts* Hall on Saturday last. Hawhiti, Mabuta’a private secretary was in Kawhia during the week, but whether hie business was of public importance or not cannot be ascertained. The Rev. O B. Ashford, the newly appointed Minis'er for the Kawhia district, accompanied by hie wife, lef England by the lonic on July 25th, and ebould arrive in Wellington about the end of thia week The rev. gentleman should bo in Kawhia in another fortnights' time.
