(from a correspondent.) The spell of flue wen her has ended, and a nice warm rain has come, which will bring on the young gruss. Word 1 has been received hat a post office will be opened in thL valley in the very near future, to be called the Waerengahou Post Office. At last the remaining portion of tbe Te Maika Road has been let, and the settlers are hoping that in the begin ning of tbe summer they will have a ruad to their sections, which will be an improvement onthe present bush trapk The settlers here are making an at tempt to have the Te Maika road opened to Kiwi Buy, which will shorten the distance to a launch landing (which can be worked at almost any stage of the tide) by about four miles. Mr P. Brough has returned Ito bis HtiCrion here, and it is reported that ha il about te baild.
