(Special to the Settler ) In reference to the complaint made to Mr Jjnniugs by settlers that Katanui and other King Country townships are being kept bank owing to the uon-felliiig of bu&b, the Minister for Linds informs the member that sums will be provided ou tho estimates for felling aud grassing the same this year. The posirioo of the Te Kuiti Domain was enquired into and the Minister will provide a sum of £25 na a £ for £ gubiidy for work on Domain. Iu answtr to enquiries m<j>de by settlers to Mr ./enuiugs as to what price Angora goats will be supplied by tho Government, the Miuia’er says he is unable to quote a price ot a>uy for sale- The demand is fo great that he tiers at present.
The request of the Waitomo County for alterations in the time table of the express train between Auckland and Wellington was presented by the member.—The Minister fur Railways replied tbac the matter would receive careful consideration.
