On Wednesday, July 22nd, at Hamilton, we held our annual sale of dairy stock, and yarded over 300 cows and heifers. Good cows, either at profit or two or three weeks off calving, realised from £6 15s to £4 ss; good young cews and heifers, due to oalve later, £•> 5s to £6 10s; backward cows and heifers, £3 LUs to £t 15a ; aged cows, £2 5a to £4 ; milk cans, 10s to 15s.
On Thursday, July 23rd we held our stoak sale, but only u iniaU muster of cattle were brought forvrtrd. Well fattened light weight heifers realised £5 4s to £5 14s; others, Vt 10s ; heavy ctws, L 5 Is to L 5 10s ; 21 year steors, Lt 4s to L 4 Ils ; strong calves, LI 4s toL2 Is; fat ewee, 16a to 16s 3d s fat aup forward hoggets, 12a. On Saturday, July 85th, at our Te A warn ut a sale we offered over 300 dairy cows, springing heilfesw aud store stock. Mr Tipput’a dairy oowa realised from L 4 5s to L 7 ; a few aged sow a, L2 5e to L 3 10s; dairy cows from vendors, LI to L 6 15a; choice springing heifers, from Mr F. Bowden aud other owners, L 5 5s to L 6 ss; backward heifers, LI to L 5; choice 18moutbs steers, L 3 8e; 18-months to 2-yoa heifars, L2 12a ttd to L 3; store cows, L2 Is to L2 8a ; a number of really good calves, sold well throughout at from £1 6a to LI 14a; small calves, 17s to £1 2a; pigs all ■old with brisk competition; breeding sows £3 10s to £3 17s 6d; slips, 17s to £1; weauera, 8s tolls.
THE FARMERS CO OPERATIVE AUCi lONEBBING CO.’S REPORT. At Waibou on Friday we yarded 500 head of cattle and 200 sheep. Ninety-one beef penned were required and practically all sold. Well-fattened steers, £3 5s to £9 2s gtl; lighter weights, £6 10s to £7 12s 61; fat cows, £5 Iss to £6 ; others, £3 to £4 6s ; fresh 3-year steers, £5 2s 6d to £5 Ils; 18 months steers, £3 5s to £3 9a; yeilinga, 80s to £2 5s ; calves £1 7s 6d to 38s; younger sorts, 15s to 26h ; ohoioe cows, close to pre fit. £5 15s to £8 ; old cows, £8 19s to £3 L2s 6d; heifers £6 ; fat sheep, 19a to 20s ; hoggota, Ils«Ito 14s. At Ohaupo on Tues lay last we yar led 850 head of c ittle an 1 8500 -heap.
