On Tuesday and " ednwdnr, Jane 23rd •nd 24th, we held our un.uul horse fair at Ngaruawabia yards and although the weathei v*ss extremely rough, a larg* numh-r of buyers and selkrs attended. We rop'-rt a »UC‘ ewful sale. Three year old m .Hum draught colts and fillies realised from £7 tOe to £2G ICs ; 2-yr heavy draught colts, £lB to £27 10s ; yearling draughts, £ll to £l5; 8-year-old strong harness sorts and hack dolte, £lO 10s to £l6 ; heavy draught marts and geldings, £34 to £4O; active medium droughts, £24 10s to £3O; aged draughts. £lO to 16 ; upstanding hacks, £l5 to £22 10a ; heavy spring cart sortej £22 10s to £34-; strong harness sorts, £l2 10s to £lll j good cobs, £lO 10a to £l4; sound good ponies and light backs, £4 15s to £lO 10a ; weeds, £1 15s upwards. We held onr usual fortnightly sale at amilton on Thursday: There was a very abort market of beef and store cattle, but aheep were plentiful in supply. Fat steers, light weights, made £6 10s; fat cows £4 10s to £5 • small heifers, £5 10s 6d ; store cow £1 17s to £2; 15 to 18 months old steers, £2 Ps. A good demand existed for springers all yarded te ling readily at from L 5 to L 5 IBs. Sheep—Fat wethers, 18s to LI; forward ewes, 15s <N ; woolly hoggets, to 12s, On Saturday, June 27th, at oar monthly sale at Te Awamutu yards we had an extra large number of cattle, mostly calves and up to 2-yr-olds. Good competition ruled throughout. Good young cows, due to in August or early September, sold at from £5 10s to £7; a few backward in waiving, £4 to £4 12s 6d ; cows at profit, £7; l-yr-'.ld empties. £2 16s ; extra good calves (mixed), LI 9s to LI Ils ; others, 18s to LI Bs; small calves, 10s ; 2-yr-old steers, L2 19s to LB 6s; fresh conditioned cows, L2 5s to L 3 18s; bulls, LI 10s to L2 12s 6d; draught mare, L3O; active gelding, LI 6 2s 6d; ponies, LS 5s to L 4,
