County Notices. KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Kawhia County Council held on the 18th day of June 1908, the following special order was duly passed : In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” the Kawhia County Council hereby resolves as follows That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2OOO authorised to be raised by the Kawhia County Council under the above mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and enlarging the Kawbia wharf at the extension of Jervois street, Kawbia, and providing landing conveniences at Oparau, Hauturu, and Kinohaku, the said Kawhia County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 8-16ths of a penny in the £ upon the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Kawbia County, comprising the whole of the area within the county boundaries; and that such Special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the curr ency of such loan being a period of forty-oce years or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be per cent per annum. A special meeting of the said Council will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday the 11 th day of July 1908, at the Council office, Kawhia, for the purpose of confirming the above Special Order. 0. F. E.
