County Notices. KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Kawhia County Council held on the 18tb day of June 1908, the following special order was duly parsed : In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” the Kawbia County Council hereby resolves as follows ; That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2OOO authorised to be raised by the Kawbia County Council under the above mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and enlarging the Kawbia wharf at the extensi- n of Jervois street, Kawbia, and providing landing conveniences at Oparau, Hauturu, and Kinohaku, the said Kawbia County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 8-lGtbs of a penny in the £ upon the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Kawbia County, comprising the whole of the within the county boundaries ; and that such Special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during lhe currency of such loan, and ba payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the cure ®ncy of such loan being a period of forty-one years or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 8$ per cent A special meeting of the said Council will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday the 11th day of July 1908, at the Council office, Kawbia, for the purSise of confirming the above Special rder, C.
