DAIRY FACTORY FOR KAWHIA.
(to the editor.) Sir,—l went to Oparau for my letters on Monday 4th and was amused to see an advertisement of a dairy fac-rf* lory mee.ing for the 2ad. Bo many people come here, talk dairying, find number of cows and quit, that we are not so anxious to waste time over these meetings as formerly. What we wiui is not meetings but some one with money and push enough to start a butter factory, a cheese factory is impossible on these roads. Once started all will soon start supplying cream. To supply milk on our Government mud tracks is not possible. Heme separation, with due regard to thoroughly scalding every utensil used, is tbe only practical way open. Natives would soon start supplying, land values would rise and the present big fire, del pression would quit. Djn’t talk ; get names of present visible suppliers, get a guarantee that they wilt send all cream and eventually form a Co-Opera-tive butter or obese co. and take over the whole business. There is money for the man game to start right out. It is no use talking about meetings ; get to work, the settlers will all take it on and do better than at any other produce.—Yours, etc., KAURANGI. P.S, —Kawhia would be tbe most central place if suitable water is to ba had there.
