THOSE STREET LAMPS.
(Tb THE EDITOR.) Sib, —I have read the paragraph written by “Three Lamps.” As he is afraid to sign his name, I don't know who he is, but if he’ took the trouble to put a bottle of oil into the lamps, and apply a lighted match, there would be light, Can he expect a lamp to burn without oil, especially when not lighted. Evidently he has not been long in Kawbia, when he suggests hanging lanterns on the posts. Why, somebody would be going home late and think, “I’ll borrow this lantern, and return it to morrow.” As everybody knows, to-morrow never comes, ao the Town Board would have to get another lantern.—Yours, eto., PERCY WARD.
