On Thura-lay April 9th, we held a clearing eale at. Uautaim on account of Mr Halli lay. Large attendance and spirited bidding throughout. The dairy cows due to calve in Spring realised from £4 5s to .£5 10s ; others at profit .£4 15s to £7 ; aged cows £2 5s to to £2 12s Gd ; 2-year old heifers in calf £4 12s 6d ; yearling heifers £1 9s; oalves 19s; trap mare £lO 10s ; aged mare in foal £!2 ; hack £8 10s; drill £22 ; U pigs £1 7a to £1 10s. On Friday at Cambridge we yarded over 800 head of cattle, and 600 lambs, store wethers and fat eheep. A large nttendadee of buyers came from Tauranga, Patarura, Hikitaia, Morrinsville and Waikato districts and we report a successful sale. The beef pens contained eighty odd fat cattle, mostly steers of prime qual ty, Brisk competition ruled throughout and all sold at satisfactory prices. The beef steers realised from £8 Ils to £9 15s;(lighter weights, £7 to £8 Is; fat cows and prime heifers, £5 12s 6d to -£*> 15s ; aged heavy cows, £4 5s to £4 17s 6d ; light weight heifers, £3 10s to £4 4s. Calves yarded in extra large numbers and all sold at the hammer or afterwards. The best sorts (mixed sexes) made 20s to £1 6s 6d; good steer calves, £1 7s Gd; smaller sorts, (mixed), 15s to 17s 6d; yearling to 18-months steers, £2 7s to £3 3s; according to size and condition. Yearling to 18-mnths brought £1 5s to £ I Us; fresh conditioned cows and heifers, £2 10s to £3 7s 6d ; store cows, £1 5s to £2 ; 2 and 4-yr old bulls, £3 to £5 ; quiet heifers in oalf, £2 10s. The 34 cows advertised were in poor condition and sold at from £2 15s to £5 10s; choice heifers and young cows at profit, £-5 17s 6d to £7; f«t lambs, Us 6d; cull lambs, ss; 160 2-tooth wethers, 13s 9d ; heavy fat wethers, 20s ; full mouth ewes, 9s; weaner pigs, 8s tolls; Ils ; slips, I9s,
