County Notices, KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL. “THE LOCAL BODIES LOANS ACT, 1901,” AND THE* AMENDMENTS THEREOF. PROPOSED LOAN OF £2OOO. rpHE KAWHIA COUNTY OOUN CIL, exercising the powers of a Harbour Board in Kawhia Harbour, vested in the said Council by Order in Council, dated the 26th day of November; 1906, under sec. 14. of “The Harbours Act, 1878,” hereby gives notice that it proposes : (1) To engage in the following undertaking, namely, the extension and enlargement of the Kawhia wharf, at the extension of Jervois street, Kawhia. and the provision of landing conveniences at Oparau, Hauturu and Kinohaku. (2) To borrow for such purpose, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof and of Seo. 243 “The Counties Act, 1886,” a sum of £2OOO, for a period of forty one years and at a rate of interest of 8| per cent per annum. (8) To pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest, sinking fund and charges thereon a special rate of 8-16ths of a penny in the £ on the unimproved value of ail rateable property ci the Kawhia County, together with the revenues of the above mentioned wharf and of the Harbour Endowments. (4) It is not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan or the interest thereon for the first year. Dated this 25th day of March, 1908. C. F. E. BARTON, County Clerk.
