WKkBAU BRANCH. A meeting of tbe above body wab held on Saturday, M-.icL 28th, there being a fair attendance of members. “It v?ae resolved that a working farmer be nominated as the Union’s caudate at the next Parliamentary election. The question of roads was diecnssed, it eventually being decided •‘That the roads be completed by the Government, and that the Government be asked to compensate all settlera who have been isolated from want of propter roads.” Discussion ensued over the Mateko hai Riding of tte County. It was reoognired ibatthe Riding was too large at the Raglan end, and that the valuation at the Oparau end entitled ratepayers there to two members.
