County Notices. KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL. •‘THE LOCAL BODIES LOANS ACT, 1901," AND THE AMENDMENTS THEREOF. PROPOSED LOAN OF £2OOO.
The kawhia county coun CIL, exercising the powers of a Harbour Board in Kawhia Harbour, vested in the said Council by Order in Council, dated the 26? h day of November, 1906, under sec. 14 of “Tbe Harbours Act, 1878,” hereby gives notice that it proposes : (1) To engage io tbe following undertaking, namely, the extension and enlargement of the Kawhia wharf, at tbe extension' of Jervois street, Kawhia, aud tbe provision >d landing conveniences at Oparan, Hauturu and Kiuubaku. (2) To borrow for such purpose, under the pro vision.; of “The Local Bedies Loans Act, 1901,” and tbe amendments there if and of Sec 218 “The Counties Act, 1886,” a sum of £2OOO, for a period of forty one years and at a rate of interest of 3| per cent per annum. (8) To pledge as security for the repayment of tbo said loan and the interest, sinking fund and charges thereon a special rate of 8-16 tbs of a penny • in tbe £ on the unimproved value i of ail rateable property cf the ! Kawhia County, together with the j revenues of tbe above mentioned wherf ! and of the Harbour Endowments.
