At the last sitting of the Hamilton B.M. Court, before H. W. Northoroft, Esq., S.M., a number of cases were brought by the Inspector of Stock (Mr John Kerr) against various defendants for exposing sheep affected with lice at the Ohaupo sheep fairs on February sth and 12ib, and March 3rd. Peler Rosf, of Kinohaku, said his yards bad all been burned and he could not get his sheep dipped at the Ohaupo yards. He thought the summons might have been delivered at less expense.
Mr Gillies (for the Inspector) admitted the hardship, and thought if it bad bean possible to save his attendance at tbe Court it would have served the purpose, as he pleaded guilty. Mr Nortbereft : Then why not withdraw the charge ? Mr Gillies; No ; I cannot do that.
Mr Nortbcroft, to defendant: As yoa have pleaded guilty I will convict you, but without fine or costs 9
