Of course, the above heading doos not me.D the shop itself, nor yet the whole contents ; for it w manifest to the most simpleminded person that one could not buy a piane, nor yet one of its mere humble musical rivals, a concertina, for half-a-crown. but it will hardly be contended that in offering, as wo do, to our readers for the modest sum above-mentioned, over dx hun pieces of music, there is much exaggeration in the statement that we are giving sway a music shop; for in many places whore music is sold you would vainly search for such a varied collection as six hundred musical compositions, la accordance with the policy lately inaugurated by thitpaptr, we have made such satisfactory arrangements as will enable us tosnpvlv to our readers the “DIAMOND BOOK OF SONGS,” which oontains over six hundred of the world’s favourite and beat songs, including words and music. This book contains the greatest aggregation of songs ever found togethei between the covers of one book, issued at a popular price. It oontains negro, comic, sentimental, pathetic, and otber treasures, many since long out of print, and to be had in no ether way; others priceless on account of tender memories or early asaocuations—songs that will never die. This valuable book also has within it* corers the war, patriotic and national song- i everv country.
