XHwW* imt not forgotten Wt’w r.ci’V sfQl hi® second tout ; r“Roads in bk.".a -iucke oft remind us, When we’re (linking in the mire, Of the promisee they made us When our Totes they had to hire. Where’s the surples of which they boasted la it spout .u Rotorua ? Twenty thousand there they’ve wasted— Wonder is that 'twas not more. Where are all the roads and bridges That the back blocks she aid have got J While we pack along the ridges All O’ir food, and drive onr stock. Think of city men and women A 8 they walk along the street, In their robes of si’k or linen With u clean path for their feet; While their beck block sister and brother Are up to their neck in mud and mire. ’ Let ns try some plan or other Or we’ll all be left here to expire.
