BTATUTOBY MEETING. The statutory meeting of the above waa held on Wednesday, 27tb, when there were present—Messrs W. J. Shaw, G. G. Jonathan, A. W. Babb ige, H. Shaw, H. Armstrong, A. N Norton. KLEOTION OF OH4IBMAN. The Clerk (Mr J. K, Newton) took the chair, and announced that tbe first business was tbe election of chairman for the ensuing year. Cr Norton proposed that Cr W. J. Sh<w be re-elected chairmm. Cr Jonathan seconded tbe motion, which was supported by Ct* Babbage, the tetter commenting on tbe keen in r terest Or Shaw had taken in the du tiewhich fell <o him. Tbe milion was carried unani mously and by acctema iou. Tbe Chairman Etec: thanked biColleagues for tbe h>n<ir they bad coo ferred upon him in ro eketing him to the position cf chairman. He also thanked them for their assistance dur ing tbe pa3t 12 minib?, and he conld say that nothing but good will bad b en shown to him, which had liean of vary great assist toco.
