Enterprise (281) gained a second prize at Glasgow as a yearling, second at Highland Society’a . Show at Glasgow, as a two-year-old ; third at Highland Society’s Show at Aberdeen, and second at Glasgow as a three-year-old. His sire, Lochfergus Champion (449), out of Mary, by Lechend Champion (448) winnes of the first prise at Highland Society’s Show at Perth in 1861, the gold medal at the same Show at Kelso in 1863, the second prize at Royal Society’s Show at Battersea in 3.862, and the Glasgow premium in 1865. Herd Laddie has only been beaten once in the show ring, and then as a three-year-old he competed against aged horses.
