Kawhia Medical Club
A meeting of members of the abovo club was held in the Council Ch unberj on Monday night last when there were about a dozen members present, Mr A VV. Babbige presiding. The secre’ary (Mr J. K. Newton), Reported that very tew eubsuriptionu nad been received. The Chairman remarked on the apathetic manner in which the canvassing for members was being treated by the committee, and trusted that in] creased efforts would mide, as at the present time the membership was practically nil. Those present agreed to take m ore interest in the club, and it was thought that many new members could be relied on to join. One or two small account* were passed for payment. It was decided to thank by letter the Telegraph Department and the County Council for the efforts used in having the telephone c >nuectioh moee between the Kawhia Post offioe and the house where Dr C. Campbell Jenkins resides. The meeting then closed.
