Pirongia again attacked and another rush saw Oparau in trouble, and though Mana collared E. Forbes on ’ the line, he managed to struggle over Randrap again converted, aud the score read—Pirongia 8, Oparau nil. For the remainder of the spell the ball was in Oparau quarters; Mana and Tiwa did some good work in collaring and stopping rushes. Iu the evening Oparau was outer(ained with a smoko concert iu the hall. Songs were rendered by Messrs Raudrup, Ball, Doyle, H. Schrivber, Sparling, Grace, M Forbes awd Tony Ormsby. Tbe Maoris gave two hakus and after a most enjoyable evening the company dispersed about 11. 30 p m There was a most enjoyable danci got up on Friday night for the visitors which did not break up till 1 a m.
