On Thursday, August 9th, we held oar Hamilton sale, the advertised nu nber of cattle being penned. Fxt catcle were inclined to be dull of sale, but were all sold at the hammer or afterwards. Fat stee b sold at from £7 15s to -£s !0s; lighter weights, £6 15s to £7 7s 6d; fat cows and heifers, £4 10s to £5 12s 6d. All classes of stores were required and sold at slightly harder prices Yearling steers, £2 to £5 3s 6d ; calves, to £L 9s; smaller soi 3,14 b 6d to 16a; 18 mouths to 3-year-old steers, £2 Ds to £3 10s; empty cows and heifera £2 to £2 12s ; good dairy cows, near profit £6 10s to £9; heifers £1 to L-5 5s 200 sheep elicited keen competition and all sold. Fat wethers, Ll ss; Fat ewes and wethers, Ll 2s; Fat hoggets, 17s to 19b. Slips, 18s to Ll 3s; wesners, Ils 6d to 14s.
