NOXIOUS WEEDS.

(to the editor.) Sm,— Periodically we J have the pleasure cif seeing a Government official majestically strutting along the beach, and oil enquiry we are informed that he ia the Noxious Weeds Inspector. It makes one wonder wbat the duties of this official are, when we note that the weeds in question continue flourishing. If the duties of this individual arj t-imply to inspect the weeds, we cannot take exception fcj the apparent wa’te of time. At the same time it «o ild be interesting to know whether he gives them a supply of bonedust or n >r, for if he does not do so the quality of the soil is undoubtedly good.— Yours etc., BLACKBERRY, GORSE & CO.
