The next sitting of the S.M. Court at Kawhia has been fixed tor Wednesday, July 17th. The usual monthly meeting of the Kawhia Sshool Committee will be held on Munday evening next, at 7.80 p.m. Mr A. G. Williams, of Dannevirke, hat; recently taken up hie permanent ret ideuco on hie section on the main coi ch road. For the month of June only 3.25 in. of ram fell at Kawhia, as against 2 40 in. for the corresponding period cf last year. Mr Duncan, Chief Stock Inspector, is nt present paying bis first visit to this district, accompanied by Mr Alexander, District Inspector. At the Congregational Church on Sunday evening next the Rev. 0. E. D ividson will preach a sermon on the recent wreck of the s.s. Kia Ora.
