It is reported that the remains of a moa have been discovered in a cavtHJh the Marokopa River. Mr Lane has been appointed manager of the Marokopa Milling Co.’s mill in the place of Mr Toomath. The Kawhia County Council advertise that all rates remaining unpaid on the 21st inst. will be eued for. The s.s. Rothesay continues to do go-d work, since our last issue having made two trips to Marokopa and one to Harihari. The Hon. W. W. M'Cardle, M.L.0., accompanied by Mrs and Miss M‘Cardie, left for Wellington by the s.s. Kia Ora on Tuesday.
