NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Kawhia Town Board at a meeting to be held on Thursday, the 4th of June, 1907, at 780 p.m., to make and levy a GENERAL RATE of 2d (twopence) in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Kawhia Town District, the said rate to be for a period of twelve months from April Ist, 1907, to March 81st, 1908, and to become due and payable to the collector, J. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Kawbia County Council held on the Twentythird day of April, 1907, it was resolved that the Kawhia County Council make a Consolidate 1 By-Law under “The Counties Act, 1886” and its amendments, “The Public Works Act, 1905” and all other Acts and powers whatever enabling it in that behalf, to come into force on the First day of August, 1907, the object and purport of which Consolidated By-Laws are as follows: Definitions Pedlers and Hawkers Traffic Over Bridges Heavy Traffic Traction Engines Motor Cars Licensed Vehicles Water Tables Lights on Vehicles Billiard Rooms The said resolution will be submitted for confirmation to a special Meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chamber, Kawhia, on Monday tbe Seventeenth day of June, 1907, at 2 p.m. A copy of the proposed Consolidated ByLiw is deposited at the office of Council, Kawbia, where the same will e open for pubi c inspection during office hours until tbe said confirming meet’ng is held. Proposed Loan for Widening and Metalling tbe Maboenui - Kawbia Road. rpHE KAWHIA COUNTY COUN--A- CIL propose to raise a Loan of £5OOO for the term of 41 years at 4 per cent, per annum for the forming and metalling of tbe above road. It if proposed to strike a rate of B|d in the £ on the unimproved value of the following lands abutling on tbe said road —Sections 18, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, Block I; Sections 8,4, 5,6, 7,8, 9 and 10, Block V ; Sections 1,2, 8 and 4, Block X ; 8 and and 4, Section 1; W. Johnson’s Block II; and on half of Sections la, Block III; la, 2,11 and 12, Block V; 8 and 4, Block VI ; 2 and 8, Block IX; on 2000 acres of S.G.R , Haribari, 8,4, 5 and 9, all Kawbia South, and on all Native Lands adjoining tbe said road. Tbe proposed security for the repayment is to be the thirds accruing and tbe Special Rate of B|d in the £.
