Mr W. A. Mason, J.P , occupied the chair. After the astral devotional exorcises, the Chairman addressed the children. They should honour their parents, be broad minded and liberal, judging people hy their actions than by. their words. Speaking ill of people did' no g od, but a kind word and helping;.hand did. He sisked them all to remember that simple rujej, “ Do uuto others as you would b'iye do to you,” and then they would be ft credit to the community and 8 happiness to their Bunday Schqol teach' rs. During the evening recitations were delivered by Masters Cam Mitchell, Walter Barclay and Nicholas Sircombe, and Miches Elsie, Dorothy and Cissy Sirccm.be. The Chairman handed Mrs Wade a beau jiui Family Bible, she having been the first married in tbe church. The following prizes were also distributed : For essay in connection with Sunday School Union, George Howes; for good conduct (from Rev. R. Mitchell), Arthur Jonathan and Dorothy Symons ; (from Mrs Husking) W. Barclay ; for scripture (from her teacher), Grace Falwasser ; for diligence (from her teacher), Doris Symons ; for attendance, Gwen Valier, George Howes, A. Jonathan, H. Howes, A. Mitchell, G. Barron, L. Barron, S. Jonathan, Elsie Bircombe. It is interesting to note that if a prize was awarded to tbe little girls for good conduct, on the testimony of the teacher each scholar is deserving of one. The gathering closed by the Rev. Davidson pronouncing tbe Benediction.
