West TamaKi, 7th April, 1906 Mksses Shaki.and & Co,, Ltd., Auckland, Dear Sira, — I have pleasure in r martiug ou the use of your POTATO BLIGHT:EXTERMI N ATOS. 1 used the preparation practically in accordance with the directions on the package, first of all steeping the potatoes in the liquid for 21 hours on the lines suggested in directions—afterwards placing in the sun te thoroughly dry, prior to planting. I planted in the ordinary way with th* addition of a little lime in the drill—about scwt. te the acre. When the shoots showed about 2J to 3in. above the ground, 1 gave them a complete spraying in accordance with your directions. When they were about 12 inches high 1 sprayed again, or when any indication of the blight showed upon the stalks, The whole of my crop has turned out perfectly sound and satisfactory, although many of my neighbours who have not used this preparation have lost the whole ot their crops; but those who used your preparation according to the proper directions, have saved their crops with good results. I am satisfied that this preparation is an axterminator of the blight, and at the same time it increases thejj'ield uf the potatoes to a. considerable extent. It is noticeable especially in regard to the improved flavour of the potatoes. Previous to this preparation having been brought before my notice I had used the Bordeaux Mixture, but the results were very unsatisfactory. I have also used your POTATO BLIGHT EXTERMINATOR for blight in cauliflower, cabbage and turnips and have had splendid re suUr, Yours faithfully, (Signed) J.
