Bee Keeping.
Dr C. Campbell Jenkins in the interests of bee fn;.ciers around Kawhia has received the Julio wing letter iiu reply to the request f >r a demonstra tion here : * “ Bit,—iours of the 12th ulto. duly received. lam exceedingly sorry for the delay in replying to your favour, ro giving a lecture on bee keeping. With the con/-.r.t attendance to visitors at the Exhibition, “ Model Apiary”, and my work on all Sundajs and holidays, it has been impossible for me to attend to correspondence as I ought to have d mo, but I have had no assistance whatever in this :osrect. Until at least two months after the close c-f the Exhibition I sb&ll not be able to visit your district, as I have to re move and establish the “Model Apairy” st Levin, but I promise I will give an address whenever you may wish, as toon after as I can get to Kawhia and will bring a full kit of appliances.— Youre, etc , J Hopkins.” It is to be hoped that Mr Hopkins will give us long notice as to his intentions, but regret that the date which we calculate on may prevent our settlers coming to see this most interesting exposition. Readers, you know, want of roads.
