Rothesay left Auckland for Kawhia, via the North Cape, on Monday morning, the 21st January, Had all gone well she should have made the trip in three or four days, but it waa not until Wednesday, the 30th, that any word was received as to ber whereabouts, when a wire brought the information that she was sheltering in Tom Bowling’s, just past the North Cape.
