WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28 [Bkfobk Mr H. W. Nortmcroft, S.M] CIVIL CASES. Joon'han Ltd (Mr Gillies) v. Pukrtapu, £5 6s 9d. Verdict for amount with £1 18- costs. Theresa Perham v. Adrian Moulton, £8 ss, board »nd lodging.—Order for amount and 5s costs. W. M. Howe (Mr Gillie*) v. E. Easy and R. Judd, £32 7s 2d, tor hauling and cutting timber at Te Rau-a-moa. The defence was that complaitant agreed to haul 20,000 ft., but failed ‘o do so, so a counter claim fur £4l 17s 4d was lodged —After a lengthy hearing a verdict was given for the amount claimed, with £9 17s costa, tbo counter claim being nonauited.

M. Galvan v. Rau Kura, £lo.—Verdict for amount with £1 Is costs. Alt. Pearson v. A. G. Hartman, £8 12a lid. A counter claim for £2 Is 4d whr fil?d.—Verdict for £8 10s Bd. with £3 8s costs, the counter claim not being allowed. W. M. Newton |(Mr Gillies) y. D. and G, Tynan, £3B 14s 2d. Defendants disputed various Deme, and eventually a verdict for £36 6» lOd was recorded, with £6 15a costs. W. M- Newton (Mr Gillies) y Wells, £1 10s Bd. Verdict for olaim and 12’ costs.

The animal was left with Mr Le Proa by Mr Andrews. la reply to Mr Gillies (who appeared for defendant) complainant admitted that be had assigned bis estate for the benefit of hie creditors, and that this horse was io the assignment.—Mr Gillies contended that under these circumstances complainant could not sue.—Nou-sailed with £2 9s costs. A couple of judgement sammonses were heard, one being adjourned to the next Raglan Court. VOLICZ CASES. William Healy was fined £5 for cruelly thrashing his daughter. Robert Glentworth was fined £5 for stealing a greenstone mere, and £l4 Ils costs. . _
