T have pleasure in reporting on the use of your POTATO BLIG HT EXTERM INATOK. 1 used the preparation practically in accordance with the directions on the package, first of all steeping the potatoes in the liqnid for 24 hours on the lines suggested in directions—afterwards placing in the sun to thoroughly dry, prior to planting. 1 planted in tho ordinary way with the addition of a little lime in the drill—about scwt. to the acre. When the shoots showed about 2J to 3in. above the ground, I gave them a complete spraying in accordance with you# directions. When they were about 12 inches high I sprayed again, or when any indication of the blight showed upon the Tk- whele of my ovup has turned out perfectly sound and m«Ufactory, although many of my neighbours who have not used this preparation have lost the whole of their crops; but those who used your preparation according tc the proper directions, hive saved their crops with good results. I am sat’sfied that'tain preparation is an exterminator of the blight, and at the same time it increases thejyield of the potatoes to a considerable extent. It is noticeable es p'«;ially in regard to the improved flavour of the potatoes. Previous Io this preparation having been brought before my notice 1 had used the Bordeaux Mixture, but the results were very unsatisfactory. I have also used vour PO ' ATO BLIGHT EXTERAIINATOR Lr blight in cauliflower, cabbage and turnips and have bud splendid re suit.-. Yours faithfully, J. PILKINGTON. Mr John Pilkington is a largo grower of potatoes and well known throughout New Zealand as an authority du potato growing and other branches of farming, SMOKERS PLEASE NOTE. A rush on it. Wbat ?
