West TamaKi, 7th April, 1905, Mfssrs Shakland a Co., Ltd., Auckland, Dear Sirs, — I have pleasure iu reporting on tbe use of your POTATO BLIGHT EXTERMINATOR. 1 used the preparation practically in accordance with the directions on the package, first of all steeping the potatoes in the liquid for 24 hours on the lines suggested in directions— afterwards placing in the sun to thoroughly dry, prior to planting. 1 planted in the ordinary way with the addition ol'a little lime in the drill—about scwt. to the acre. When the shoots showed about 21 to 3in. above the ground, I gave them a complete spraying in accordance with your directions. When they were about 12 inches high I sprayed again, or when any indication of the blight showed open lhe stalks, Tfcs wteels ef my me» tes iismei oak psrfsakly sound anJ MtCfactery, although many of my neighbours who have not used this preparation have lost the whole of their crops; but those who used your preparation according to the proper directions, have saved their crops with good results. I am satisfied that this preparation is an exterminator of the blight, and at the same time it increases thejyield of the pot itoes to a considerable extent. It is noticeable es pecially in regard to the improved flavour of the potatoes. Previous to this preparation having boon brought before my notice 1 had used the Bordeaux Mlxtsre, but the results were very unsatisfactory. I have also used your POTATO BLIGHT EXTERMINATOR for blight in cauliflower, cabbage and turnips and have bad splendid re suits. Yours fisithfully, (Signed) J. PILKINGTON.
