It was stated that it w< uld be impossible to bold races on the same course as last year, owing to the fact iba* the drift ■and had encroached nearly across the straight. Several of these present ware in favour of the course on Motu Island, but it eventually decided that Messrs Baird, Turrel’, Camnbe’l and E. Falwa.-eei’ inject the course nt Mr Quin’s and rep rt at a future meet-"" ing. We learn that u cour. e cannot be obtained at Mr Quin’s. A meeting is advertised for Wednesday next to further discuss the matter.’
