jnOflEY mOORE. Cash Drapers & Manufacturers' Agents, KING STREET, JEW PLYMOUTH. West TamaKi, 7th April, 1906, Mkssrs Sbarland & Co., Ltd , Auckland, Dear Sirs, — I have pleasure in reporting on the use of your POTATO BLIGHT EXTERMINATOR. 1 used the preparation practically in accordance with the directions on the package, first of all steeping the potatoes in tbe liquid for 24 hours nn the lines suggested in directions—afterwards placing in the sun to thoroughly dry, prior to planting. 1 planted in the ordinary way with the addition of a little lime in the drill—about ocwt. to the acre. When the shoots showed about 2| to Sin. above the grotihd, I gave them a complete spraying in accordance with your directions. When they were about 12 inches high I sprayed again, or when any indication of the blight showed upon tho stalks, Tha whole of my crop has turned out perfectly sound and satisfactory, although many of my neighbours who have not used this preparation have lost the whole ot their crops; but thore who used your preparation according to the proper directions, h ive saved their crops with good results. I am satisfied that this preparation is an exterminator of the blight, and at the same lime it increa.-es thejyield of the potatoes to a considerable extent. It is noticeable es> p.-ciaily in regard to the improved flavour of tho potatoes. Previous to this preparation having been brought before my notice 1 had used the Bordeaux Mixture, but the results were very unsatisfactory. 1 have also used your I’O i ATO BLIGHT EX MINATOR fvr blight, in cauliflower, cubbago and turnips and have had splendid re suite. Yours faithfully, (Signed) J. PILKINGTON, Mr John Pilkington 's a large grower of potatoes and well known throughout New Zealand as an authority on potato growing and other branches of farming, SMOKERS, I’LEaSE note.— Tlie famous DERBY To baeco is now sold in TWO OUNCE TINS, L'LAKE CUT. Try it.
