Bushfalling Accidents.

During the past wtck quite a number of accidents hupppned tn hushfnllers in thia district, tlwagh, fortunately, none were al tended with aer ions results. The storm which viritid thedistrict On Friday night was for r nasty accident nt Kawaroa. A pnrty of five—Whafu, Mara, Rere, Haki and Karen*—were falling for Messrs Morris and 00., and on the night in question were asleep in their whnre when a 2ft. tree fell across the camp. It fell about eix inches above Mara’s head, the force of the fall burying tbe stakes upon which rhe bunk was made into the ground. Tbe ridge polo was •mashed, and one end struck Wbato’s arm, which was badly broken. How the inhabitants escaped being killed is indeed miraculous. The injury was was attended to by Dr 0. Campbell Jenkins. Two-other patients under medical treatment for accidents canted through buebfalling are Jack Scott (a badly cut band received whilst working on Mr Wi'liem-J section on the main coach road), and James Turnbull (cut on f- ot, inflicted by an axe on Mr Mr Willison’s section atMarokopn).
