(FROM OUR OWN CORRB3FONDENT.) Saturday, August 26th, was a rad latter day for the settlers of the district when the boat Ko:ahi arrived in the Maroknpa River frem Waiters, in charge of Capt Williamson. Unfortunately the visit was unexpacted, so that most of tho settlers missed the opportunity of getting stores in. After unloading the boat want to Kawhia tor a load of goods for Mr Willison. The captain was employed for several days in choosing a site for beacon's and poking out the channel of the river ae far as Mr Hayiock’s a distance of five miles from the heads. I understand that a farther 20 tons is to be delivered when the weather is suitable. Messrs Bell Bros, and Boss have released the old mill site at Marokopa from the natives and intend to erect a new fl-ix mill there shortly* Thera is every likelihood of a second fl ax mill being erected at the M trokopa Heads very shortly. Stock are still earning into the Mttpment. Mr Gragg brought iu a mob of cattle last week.
